1. Acceptance of Terms. Welcome to Production.ink (including news.production.ink and all associated subdomains, applications, and newsletters). By accessing or using our website, subscribing to our article distributions, or utilizing our resources such as Project Labor Reports, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions and Interpretation. The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural. For the purposes of these Terms:
a. Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.

3. About Us & Nature of the Service. Production.ink is an informational platform designed to assist film and television producers, production teams, and industry professionals with budgeting, planning, and navigating the complexities of entertainment labor Relations.
4. No Legal or Professional Advice (Crucial Disclaimer). The content provided on Production.ink—including but not limited to articles, Project Labor Reports, wage scale breakdowns, jurisdictional guidance (e.g., Basic Agreement vs. Area Standards Agreement), and responses in the "Ask a Labor Expert" feature—is for general informational and educational purposes only. We are not a law firm, lawyers or labor consultants. The information on this site does not constitute legal, financial, or formal labor relations advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship. 5. Third-Party Contributors and "Ask an Expert" Content. Production.ink frequently features insights, biographies, and direct Q&A answers from third-party professionals, including payroll executives and labor relations experts. We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of answers provided by these third-party contributors. The opinions and interpretations expressed by these experts are entirely their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Production.ink or the experts' respective employers, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Links to third-party payroll companies or expert websites are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services of any external sites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services. Production.ink does not endorse any specific payroll company or service mentioned by the experts.
6. Email Communications and Article Distributions. By providing your email address, you consent to receive article blasts, newsletters, and promotional materials related to Production.ink resources. We utilize secure third-party infrastructure to deliver these communications. You may withdraw your consent at any time by utilizing the "unsubscribe" or "opt-out" link provided at the bottom of every email, which will automatically update your preferences across our platform.
7. Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You. All original content, branding, logos, design elements, and compiled resources (such as the proprietary format of Project Labor Reports) are the intellectual property of Production.ink and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content for commercial purposes without our express written permission.
9. User Conduct. When interacting with the site or requesting information, you agree not to: (a) Submit false, misleading, or deceptive information; (b) use the site or our email infrastructure to transmit spam, malware, or harmful code; (c) attempt to scrape, mine, or extract data from our news feeds or labor reports using automated means without authorization; or (d) attempting to gain unauthorized access to the site's backend, servers, or any connected databases.
10. Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Production.ink, its founders, operators, and third-party contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: (a) Your reliance on any information, articles, or labor reports provided on the site; (b) Budgetary shortfalls, production delays, or labor disputes resulting from the use of our resources; and/or (c) Errors, omissions, or outdated information regarding union rules, wage scales, or jurisdictional boundaries. Your use of the site and its resources is entirely at your own risk.
11. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Production.ink, its affiliates, contributors, and operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any provided labor or production data.
12. Modifications to these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Changes to these Terms are effective when they are posted on this page. Continued use of the site following such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Essex County, New Jersey, USA.
